Alexandra Gouda

Greece
Biography:

Alexandra Gouda was born in Athens. She was awarded a national scholarship, at the Athens School of Fine Art, where she studied printmaking at the 2nd Printmaking Studio as well as painting, sculpture and ceramics. She trained alongside the professors of the Athens School of Fine Art Vicky Tsalamata, Akis Pirounidis, Michael Αrfaras and Dina Kotsiou, in printmaking. In her work she selects aspects of architectural shells like three dimensional puzzles and she ends up reuniting her own zoomorphic image Read Mores. The complex body through the animation process creates metaphors, but it mainly remarks on the changes that occur in nature as man tends to turn it from ‘the organic’ into inorganic materials. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Her works are also included in private collections.
