Barbara Hammer was born in Graz in 1954, where she still lives and creates art. She is involved with painting and especially graphic. With her art Barbara Hammer confronts contemporary issues and expresses her views towards injustice and other threats. At the moment her creations are focused on shortcomings with regards to human rights. Her latest etchings are statements about the present state of society and politics. She has presented her creations in several exhibitions in Austria and abroad. She is a me Read Morember of the Berufsvereinigung der Bildenden Künstler Österreichs as well as the Austrian section of XYLON International.
