Ioannis Anastasiou

Biography:

Born in 1995 in Athens, Greece. Currently a PhD student in the Doctoral School of the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wroclaw, Poland. Obtained Master Degree in Printmaking in Professor Xenophon Sachinis studio, School of Visual and Applied Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His work includes social and political contexts. He incorporates relief, intaglio, planographic, and experimental printmaking techniques in creating 3-D objects, installations, artists’ books, a Read Morend prints. He received multiple awards and distinctions for his work and has been exhibited in more than 100 international exhibitions and competitions internationally. His works belong to various public and private museum collections. He participated in various international conferences, symposiums, and workshops, as well as art publications and journals. He is a co-organizer of PrintCard Wroclaw - International Prints Exchange, co-creator of Zine Without a Crown, and co-funder of Misprint Studio in Wroclaw.
