Jacqueline Aust

New Zealand

A Master of Arts (Distinction) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand provides the theoretical architecture for my printmaking and sculpture. My research explores the relationship between autographic mark making, a response to place, and the mechanics of making multiple images. The works shown at the Douro Print exhibitions 2017-18 are from a series about navigating environments that are foreign to me and represent a map of my recollection of physical experience and visual perspective.
