Biography:

Fascination with the nature of materials, methods of building, and the contrast between big and small fuels Julia Luteran’s artwork. As an installation artist she forms 3-D metal objects, to fuse space with abstract sculpture, integrating her jeweler’s craft, and printmaker’s precision. Julia’s love of line traces back to earlier work as an architectural designer, and can be seen in her printmaking explorations today. She holds an MFA-Massachusetts College of Art and Design, MEd-Rivier University, and BS, F Read Moreine Art-Skidmore College.  Her art has been exhibited in Boston, MA, New York, and New Hampshire. Awards include residency at Nimbus Arts, St. Helena, CA., and several grants as art educator in NH. Member of The Boston Printmakers.
