Julianne Ricksecker

Biography:

Julianne Ricksecker was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and studied at the University of Pittsburgh, Université de Rouen, the University of New Mexico, and the San Diego Academy of Fine Arts.  She has made etchings, monotypes, pastels and watercolors in her San Diego studio since 1978. Ms Ricksecker has exhibited in more than 200 exhibitions including: 4th International Print Exhibition, Albuquerque, NM; 2nd New York International Miniature Print Exhibition, Manhatten Graphics Center, New York, NY;  Mini Print I Read Morenternacional de Cadaques, Cadaques, Spain; Biennial International Miniature Print Exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CN; Transferring Ink, International Printmaking Show, Fallbrook, CA;  2nd Annual Monotype and Monoprint National Exhibition, Fitchburg, MA; Dwight Merrimon Davidson National Contemporary Print Exhibition; Elon College, NC; Pacific States Print and Drawing Exhibition, University of Hawaii at Hilo, Hilo, Hawaii; Boston Printmakers 34th National Exhibition, De Cordova Museum; Lincoln, Massachusetts; International Miniature Print Exhibition; Pratt Graphics Center; New York, New York  She has won numerous awards for her etchings, pastels and watercolors, including Public Prize Award at the René Carcan International Prize for PrintmakingExhibition in Brussels, Belgium, 2nd place at the 8th Biennial International Miniature Print Exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk Connecticut and 3rd place in the Western Regional Printmaking Exhibition at Tarbox Gallery in San Diego, California.
