Biography:

Karen Dugas received a BFA from Queen`s University, Kingston, Ontario, and an MVA in printmaking from the University of Alberta. She has taught at the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta. Her work has appeared in over 150 national and international exhibitions, winning numerous awards, including Prix by the Jury, 16th International Biennial of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana (1985); Superior Class prize, 5th Seoul International Print Biennial, Korea (1986); Honorable Mention Award, 6th Bharat Bhavan I Read Morenternational Biennial of Prints, Bhopal, India (2004) and Juror`s Commendation Award, Edmonton Print International (2008). She has had fifteen solo exhibitions in Canada and abroad and her monumental digital murals have been shown in major museum exhibitions in Hungary, Poland and the USA. Her work can be found in over twenty-five public collections world- wide.
