Since 2005 I have lived in Olhão, a small fishing town in southern Portugal. This area informs my work which explores the concept of ‘nature’ and its relationship with human beings. I use gyotaku and various nature printing techniques as the basis of my work. In 2015 I gained a PhD in Art & Design (entitled Gyotaku: Its Origins and Relationship with Art and Science) from the Faculty of Fine Art, Porto University. Previously, I lived in London and studied printmaking at the Royal College of Art, Central St. Martin Read Mores and the London College of Printing. I was born in Kowloon, Hong Kong but grew up beside the sea in Suffolk, England.
