Sergio Bigolin was born in Galliera Veneta (Padua) ITALY in 1954; he began painting and experimenting techniques of copperplate engraving and printing in 1971 with the engraver Giovanni Bernardi. He attended the Scuola Libera del Nudo at the Accademia di Belle Arti, and the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, where he has been teaching watercolour with Matilde Dolcetti for more than 20 years. He has taught watercolour for several years at public and private bodies. He is a member of the European Institute of W Read Moreatercolour. In 2002 he won a scholarship as Scholar in residence, for printmaking, at the Vermont Studio Center in Vermont, U.S.A. His works have been shown in several one-man exhibitions and in more than two hundred collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
