Biography:

Born in Seattle, USA. Studied architecture and printmaking at the University of Washington, Seattle and post-graduate study in printmaking and art history in Florence, Italy. He was head of the Interior Design Program at Montana State University before relocating to Canada in 1970 where he helped establish Canada’s first printmaking master’s program at the University of Alberta. Printmaker, poster and book designer, his work can be found in over sixty public collections including: the National Galleries of C Read Moreanada, New Zealand and India. He has won numerous awards in international print biennials and has curated over twenty exhibitions around the world. In 2015 he was awarded the Southern Graphics Council International Teaching Award and in 2019 the Alberta Lieutenant Governor’s Distinguished Artist Award.
