Biography:

Adam Rake (b.1980) is an American mixed media artist whose works are derived from the techniques and aesthetics of printmaking. His works have been exhibited in more than 45 group and solo exhibitions in the US and internationally and are included in numerous public and private collections. Rake was born in Eastern Pennsylvania and grew up in Southern New Jersey along the Atlantic Ocean. He earned a BFA in Printmaking from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his MFA in Printmaking from Indiana Read MoreUniversity. He is a master printmaker at Lasansky Gallery & Studio, Iowa City, Iowa, has been an instructor of art at Indiana University and Kirkwood Community College. He lives and works in Iowa City at his studio called, The Bower.
