Berta Guerra Aredal, born in Curicó, Chile. Lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden since 1977. Currently she is one of the most prominent stone printmaker artists in Sweden today. For the broad range of stone-lithographic methods she uses, her technical expertise and artistic expression she has been honoured with several fellowships and international residences including; Grafikwerkstatt Dresden, Germany and La Ceiba Gráfica, Xalapa, México. 2015 she graduated in the study program of Interdisciplinary Printmaking a Read Moret the Academy of Art Eugeniusz Geppert in Wroclaw, Poland deepening her research in lithographic method Mezzotint. A project which she continued to develop during her award at Litografiska museet in Stockholm, Sundby gård, Huddinge 2017-2018. Since 1988 she has exhibit in solo exhibitions at various venues including 2018 Litografiska Museet, Huddinge, Stockholm, 2016 Gallery La Sebastiana, Pablo Neruda Foundation, Valparaiso, Chile, and Sala de Arte Agüimes, Gran Canaria. 2014 Gallery La Sebastiana, Pablo Neruda Foundation, Valparaíso, Chile.
