Eddie LUI was born in the British Colony Hong Kong in 1947. He received training in visual grammars at the School of Professional and Continuing Education of The University of Hong Kong during 1969-1972. In 1981, he became a recipient of the Urban Council Fine Arts Award at the Hong Kong Biennial Contemporary Art Exhibition. In 1997 he was awarded the Silver Jubilee Achievement Award by the Hong Kong Visual Arts Society in recognition of his relentless support and contributions to the group. Eddie was an Honorary Read MoreAdvisor to the Hong Kong Art Promotion Panel of the Hong Kong Museum of Art between 1996 and 1999; Secretary-General of the Asian Watercolour Confederation from 1997 to 2002. He is the director of the Hong Kong Committee of the Federation of Asian Artists since 1997 to date. He lives and works as a full-time artist in Hong Kong, China.
