Gila Raz, born 1947, studied mathematics and physics in the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, as well as science philosophy and education in the Open University of Israel. Her career combined software engineering and science education for middle school, mainly developing multimedia software to research the use of computers to improve science education. Gila is an enthusiastic amateur carpenter for many years, making furniture that incorporate mathematical and playful ideas, as well as designing 3D printed thinking games.
