Jan Pamuła


Born in 1944. Studied painting and graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, 1961-1968, and in Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris, 1967. He received MFA diploma in 1968. Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (since 2015 –Profesor Emeritus). He is active in the field of painting, graphic arts and electronic media. His works can be found in museum collections of: National Museums in Warsaw, Krakow; Contemporary Art Museum MOCAK in Krakow; Historical Museum of the City of Krakow;Nat Read Moreional Gallery of Art “Zachęta” in Warsaw; L. Wyczółkowski Museum, Bydgoszcz; also in many Regional Museums in Poland ; as well as in the Jagiellonian University Museum; Jagiellonian University Library Collection; internationally:Victoria and Albert Museum; Albertina in Vienna; Portland Art Museum in Oregon; Museum in Bochum; Collection of the Haus der Modernen Kunst Gallery, Staufen; Mondrian Museum in Amersfoort; Vass Collection, Veszprem; The Peter C. Ruppert Collection “Concrete Art in Europe after 1945”, Würzburg Museum; China Printmaking Museum and China Printmaking Base, Guanlan.
